Algren had never had the opportunity to use one of those sound telegraph machines- they were still working on patenting those technologies back in his time- so he was somewhat stunned when the first calls he received were quite on the... odd side.

Even so, he was anxious to try out this 'phone' thing, and so he was more than happy to attempt to return the calls.
